In this page we update the activities we have done from the inception of FSFTN.

  • A Seminar on Free Software by Kiran Chandra (Free Software Foundation of India) and Sarath M.S. (Swecha Foundation) on December 14th, 2007.
  • Seminar on Free Software and Installation of GNU/Linux by Siddhartha Malempati (FSFTN) in Satyabhama University on January 24th, 2008.
  • A Conference on Free Software Movement attended by people from Industry and Engineering Colleges on February 2nd, 2008.
  • A Conference on Free Software organised by FSFTN at Madras University. Session was taken by Siddhartha Malempati.
  • On March 6th, a seminar on Freedom and Software and on GNU/Linux installation and Network Settings by Siddhartha Malempati and Nakul Marwah (FSFTN).
  • On June 9th,  a seminar Freedom and Software at SRM Easwari Engineering College by Siddhartha Malempati.
  • On July 2nd, a session on Free Software by Chaianya Muppala (FSFTN)at Dr. Paul Engineering College in Pondicherry.
  • A Four-dayworkshop at SSN Engineering College on two-consecutive weekends i.e. July 19th, 20th and July 26th and 27th.
  • A session on Free Software by Chaitanya Muppala at SSN Engineering College at SSN college of Engineering.
  • Regiona l Convention on Freedom and Software attended by over 300 participants including Students, people from Software Industry, public sector and academicians. This was posted in ERGO newspaper http://www.goergo.in/?p=2437. Also reported in The Hindu daily newspaper http://www.hindu.com/2008/09/22/stories/2008092259841200.htm.
  • FSFTN team actively participated in the National Convention on Free Software 2008, held at Kochin, Kerala, by attending and delivering sessions on November 14th and 15th, 2008.
  • A workshop on Ajax and session on Free Software at Avalanche 2009 in M.N.M Jain Engineering college.
  • Session on Commerce in Free Paradigm in IFMR Management College on November 5th, 2009 by Siddhartha Malempati.
  • Workshop at SSN and Initiation of Projects. on december 5th and 6th, 2009.
  • Project Review meeting at IFMR on December 13th.
  • A seminar of Free Software at SSN College MCA department
  • A GNU/Linux Installation Session by SSN MCA GLUG.
  • A session on basic operations and installation packages on Ubuntu in SSN MCA GLUG.
  • A session on setting up the LAMP server for application development at SSN MCA GLUG.
  • A Session on Free Software Philosophy in SRM Easwari Engineering College by Glug Members
  • Project Review Meeting 2 at IFMR ON January 10th. This meet also includes a session on Drupal by Shaymala Rajaram from Netlink Technologies.
  • Seminar on Free Software to the School Teachers in Tamil Nadu by Arvind, Siddhartha Malempati and Shanu on January 10th, 2010 at Habibullah Road, Chennai.
